“The timber is as good as ever, and would normally justify a 4 or 5 star rating.
However, I have already phoned to advise that the pallet had been seriously damaged in transit, with several struts and the pallet base broken or cracked, which meant it was very difficult to take off the delivery lorry and move into our garage, where it remains a little unsafe, unless it is unloaded very carefully and cautiously, which I shall do! The lorry driver was very helpful indeed and very careful, and did arrive with an electric pallet truck which is essential for us, and without it I would have rejected the pallet in its broken state.
I have revised this review to 4 stars on the basis that the service and the product was exemplary, but this does not remove the concern about the significant damage done to the pallet in transit, which very nearly rendered it undeliverable.
I trust greater care will be taken in future with pallet deliveries where there is such great weight involved.”
