“The logs were just the right size for my open fire and burnt very well giving off a lot of heat. I will certainly order more kiln dried logs for next winter.”
“We have had mixed Dalby hardwood before and also hardwood from a cheaper source. However, the Dalby wood is so much better that it is better value than using cheaper which burns very fast and not so warm. This is the first time for birch and we will probably stick with it in the future, as it burns hot (but not too hot) and burns slowly as long as the burner is set for slow burning. Great quality and reliable. Now all we need is a really cold spell to make the cosy fire even better!”
“Due to building work we hadn't got much of our own wood undercover so decided to buy some of this kiln dried birch - it seems most impressive - burns very hot and lasts reasonably well.
I'd urge caution until you are used to them - these logs are so dry that if it's windy even shut down the fire can get very hot so advisable to only put on one or two logs at a time, perhaps mixed with other less dry wood.
I'd estimate one of the dumpy bags should last about a month maybe twice that if only having a fire in the evening.”
“Excellent logs for the fire, really dry, light well and burn very hot. I will certainly be buying the same again when these run out as they seem to last longer whilst burning and are therefore excellent value for money.”
