“I ordered some 2mm clear anti-reflective acrylic from Cut Plastic Sheeting. The staff were helpful and friendly. I found the material to be very strong and could be trimmed with a hand plane where the picture frame was a little off size.
One of the prints I had to frame included a matboard. I was concerned the anti reflective finish on the acrylic might cause the print to appear fuzzy because of the gap left by the matboard. Happily it turns out that even with a gap of about 4mm the print is still totally clear. And even in a bright, sunlit room the anti reflective finish works very well allowing the observer to appreciate the picture without having to find an acute viewing angle to avoid reflections that would certainly have been present with ordinary glass.
A great product that I will use again.”
