“I found the wording of some of the questions confusing throughout the quiz. For example, "Which group of candidates will employers likely look for first when sifting through applications?" - the correct answer is "those who do not meet the job description", with a conflicting answer of "those who meet the essential parts of the job description", a logical answer, to be incorrect. To me, the question needs to be reworded or the options of answers need to be reworded as, in my eyes, both answers have equal and correct value. I also found the answer of having a "person specification" to be confusing, is this to reference a CV?”

“It was not exactly what I was looking for - would not do this one again. Boring not interactive and too much focus on basics like how to select for interviews. I was looking for specific information on the latest about safety checks for employment at schools like when to use the CBL and when DBS, when enhanced one is necessary, when Section 128 etc. How foreign workers obtain a Police check from their country etc.”

“The safer recruitment course I recently undertook was presented in a format that was easy to follow and was packed with all the information I needed to meet my needs. The module is broken down in to units, each covering an aspect of the subject, which enables users to gradually build their knowledge. Each unit ends with a short quiz which provides a knowledge check along with a natural break. The module ends with a 30 question quiz that has to be passed to gain a certificate but this should not be feared as the pass mark of 24 is easy to achieve (as long as the you have worked carefully through each unit of the course). All in all this is an excellent training experience.”

“The units are very easy to work through and it is very useful that your progress can be saved to aid you to work through it in bitesize chunks to fit in with a busy lifestyle. The content is very thorough and useful. My only critisism would be that the final quiz asks some questions which I felt were not too relevant to the topics.”

“A good refresher of my knowledge as it is sometime, since I have had a need to look for new staff. I found doing one unit at a time, has fitted round my work and home life well. Support emails worked well too, when I had difficulty opening up one unit. I managed to sort the problem myself, but it was good to know you were there if I had needed you. Thank you”
