“This just repeated a lot of the information in Level 2 Safeguarding and unfortunately did not seem to fully explain the role and procedures that I need to follow as a Safeguarding Lead, it did touch on them briefly but I was expecting the course to go into more detail. Instead, like I said it just seemed to be Level 2 repeated with maybe a couple of more pages added.”

The course does cover a couple of similar units to the level 2, such as the introduction to safeguarding, laws, legislation and the types of abuse, as it is crucial that both people on the level 2 and level 3 have strong knowledge on these areas. However the level 3 course goes into greater detail on reporting, recording and responding to concerns and the post referral. Which is vital to someone who is the designated safeguard lead of an organisation. - Team CPD Online College

“The course was well constructed and progressive. The technology was simple and worked effectively. There were eight elements to work through and rather than one 'big' quiz at the end, I would've preferred a small quiz at the end of each element to confirm learning transfer, with a final quiz covering all elements. Having wrote that, I learned a great deal; therefore the the course was successful.”

“Learning on line has been a big step for me, but now I am feeling much more confident as I can control the pace of my learning. I started with a couple of other courses with CPD Online College and found the course format to my liking. This was important to me as there is a lot to take in with safeguarding and I wanted to keep my focus. Being able to dip into the course in bite size chunks and allowing the information to sink in works best for me. I found the quiz a good way to test my knowledge and there was no pressure to pass first time - I was then able to get a better grounding of what I had read.”
