I ordered 5 bags of this flour during lockdown. Until now, I have stuck with whole meal but am very glad that I tried this flour and will definitely order again. I followed a Sandwhich recipe in my Panasonic bread maker and the resulting loaf stayed fresh for a couple of days. Each bite is delicious and there is often a little extra aftertaste when you’ve bitten into a grain. A wonderful flour and excellent service. I’ll be ordering from you often from now on.

I use the wonderful 8-grain flour as the basis of my family's favourite bread. I use some VSW flour the night before to make a poolish and use olive oil rather than butter as this improves "keepability", not that it lasts long. I make Pullman, buns or bloomers today was bloomers.

First time we've used Matthews flour and what a revelation. Makes a lovely loaf in our breadmaker, lovely and light and very nutty. A great find.

Great flour - it makes a nice solid but still fluffy loaf. I love the extra bite and colour. Best flour I've bought since moving to the UK

I'm new to breadmaking, and thought that this flour looked good and that I would give it a try. Hole in one! I used a very simple 'no-knead' recipe from the 'Jenny can cook' website, and I am bowled over by the result! I have made real bread and it's delicious. In fact, I enjoyed typing that last sentence so much I'm going to type it again: I have made real bread and it's delicious. What more can I say?

I have been making "artisan" bread for several years a la Ken Forkish. This flour is 5-star easily. It bakes up well, and results in a delicious loaf. It does not produce a "light" bread being whole grain, but the taste and texture are as good as any I have ever produced. Tastes vary, but I love it.

This is a firm favourite in our house. The grains add a lovely nuttiness to the bread, whether making a regular loaf or sourdough. For a wholegrain flour it does produce a very open loaf that feels lighter than many others. We use this either by itself or in a blend of other flours as it lifts the flavour of any loaf it is added to.
