Started bread making during lock down. Found it difficult to find flour in the stores, so went online and Matthews were able to fulfil my needs. This wholegrain is brilliant, turns out a balanced loaf & does not mind being part of a 50/50 loaf, even copes with adding herbs, seeds, dried fruit, even vanilla. Matthews flour encouraged me to make sure I had homemade loaf ready to go & so have continued to get my flour delivered by MCF. The family love the bread, which encourages me to make fresh bread. No Negatives.

We started using your flour when supermarkets had flour shortages in 2020. My husband, who makes our bread, tells me that we must stay with you as his bread is now so much better than it was with supermarket flour.

This was easy to work and rose beautifully. (3 proves). Not usually the case with other stone ground flours I’ve used which taste good but look like a brick…. Added 25% Cotswold Crunch which gives a great texture. Will be back for more!

I have been using this flour, along with Strong White Flour and Eight Grain flour, for a number of years now to make my own version of granary bread. It makes tasty, good textured bread which slices well and keeps well in the freezer.

I'm not the most experienced breadmaker but my handmade wholemeal loaves always turn out beautifully, which I put down to using your flour. I now enjoy making my own bread.

We have been using this flour (and the strong white) for over 2 years now as a 50-50 mix in our bread maker. We always get great results and the taste and texture is very good.

Excellent on its own but equally brilliant mixed in varying ratios with either Canadian White, Cotswold Crunch or Eight Grain to make and bake a loaf in the breadmaker or prepare dough to make finger rolls and buns to bake in the oven. Makes consistently delicious tasting bread.

The aroma of this flour is lovely and it makes the most delicious wholemeal bread. I mix with one third Cotswold Crunch. Just yummy.
