“Sadly, I can't give them no stars at all. My 3rd order with Matthews. First 2 were marvellous so didn't hesitate to order again. It is hard as the minimum order is 5 bags which is over £30 with delivery but from the performance of the first 2 orders, I had no hesitation. However, this 3rd batch is appalling - 2 non-rising loaves, a loaf that was dense at the bottom but full of holes at the top. Flour appeared dam[ and lumpy Other ingredients hadn't been changed, only the flour. Used another brand of flour and the loaf was lovely so wasn't the breadmaker either. Sent an email and photos to Matthews on 15th August, only response from them was to request the batch number and date. Emailed again on 31st August - response was to tell me that they were looking into it - no details given. Still waiting for a resolution so I would give their Customer Services zero stars as well. Up to this point, I would have had no problem giving them 5 stars for their product and swift delivery but now can't give them more than 1.”
