I’ve used this flour exclusively for the last couple of years (not very adventurous!). It has never let me down, makes perfect bread every time. To the point that 3 of my friends who have tried it have immediately rushed out to buy a bread making machine! (Just hope they don’t buy all the stock of Matthew’s Cotswold Crunch and leave me without any!)

I’ve been making sourdough bread for the past 8 years and am so pleased I discovered this flour. Makes a delicious loaf of granary bread but also does well mixed with other Matthews Cotswold flour.

I hand bake various mixes of Cotswold Crunch, Eight Grain and Strong White, sometimes stand alone too. Consistently very good results in breads and rolls. A solid 4 stars all round, but still striving for excellence.

This is what a granary loaf used to be. I make sourdough and the combination of the sourdough with the malted flavour is just amazing. If you like granary type bread, this is a must. If I had to pick a favorite of the Matthews flours, this would be it!

I've baked my own bread with this flour since the coronavirus lockdown in 2020. It produces superb results, very tasty bread with excellent flavour. I would recommend it to any body wishing to take up artisan baking.
