“Vanline Direct (VL) is a broker, after using Confused.com with all my details, VL sent me a SMS saying, "URGENT - We need to validate your new van insurance policy." So after a 42 minute call to someone with a strong south african accent, repeating all my details again, told all is good and policy documents will be emailed in an hour. I sat and waited for 6 hours but nothing came through. At this point I wasn't filled with great confidence.
The next day VL sent another text saying, "WARNING! Your van insurance policy is at risk of being cancelled. To ensure you remain insured beyond 25/10/2022 please call 03332001465 urgently." My heart sank, I called and after 4 minutes on the phone to another strong, difficult to understand accent, I managed to decipher that my policy had been validated and an email is on it's way, however that was not in fruition.
It was on the third day that finally VL sent me an email with confirmation of my upcoming policy and receipt for the payment. Definitely not the simplest, hassle free process, nor was I impressed with the time wasted and delay in policy communication. They made me very anxious.”
