The insurance was fine until I changed cars and then I was appalled at the treatment I received. I was very surprised to learn that I was never with the AA even though the paperwork/e mails all stated insured with the AA. It seems they act as a clearing house. I was then refused insurance with the company I had been with as my car was newer!!! I was then told I could have a different insurer at a HUGE increase. I declined and was told they would take a admin fee of £80. So confusing and so very expensive for no reason at all. So I am not in the least pleased with the AA

was insured with AA through confused.com. everything was ok, I was paying through instalments, then I get a letter from AA saying I did not declare a sp30 of which I know I did because I looked up the history on my laptop.. they sent me a letter looking another £100 or my insurance with them would be cancelled...they said they would investigate my complaint..needless to say I have changed my insurance company after buying a bigger car.. got a good quote. cancelled my insurance with AA.. behold now they are looking me to pay £160.. AA don't think so..PS give AA opportunity to quote me on my new car, to see if they could be my current insurers quote.. did not get a reply... customers always right, not at the AA
