“Generally, if you sign up with an insurance company you have a 14 day cooling off period. I would advise you check the small print as I have just purchased insurance with does not have a cooling off period. After trying to cancel my insurance they also charged me £30 + pounds (on top of the £55 cancellation) to be insured for an hour or so when generally if you insure for the day it is effective from midnight. If you want to make changes to your policy, your insurance can potentially rocket. I posed the same questions to my current insurer and it made very little difference to the cost and have reverted back to them.”
