I was able to get the best comprehensive cover for my vehicle & also, saved £90 too from my previous car insurance where I annually paid Axa £346. With Policy Expert's Silver package, I only paid £265 annually for my Fiat Panda Pop. And it was renewing the insurance on that car too, so bargain! As a disclaimer, I have to put this here because depending on how old you are, what car you drive & how long you've held your license, including with no serious motoring offences or accidents, are the main factors in getting cheaper car insurance. I do honestly sympathise when anyone younger that wants to have a decently tidy car to drive but end up getting ripped off on car insurance. So for those out there that this applies to - always shop around, especially with comparison websites like Confused.com, comparethemarket, etc. Or even just phone up some of the insurance companies at least around a month before your car insurance is due to expire. That way, around that time, you'll be able to speak with someone to bargain your way to somewhat of a cheap quote for car insurance. Even if it'll be your first time with or without an older adult/parent helping you to do that. Also, be careful though as some insurance companies add an extra fee of around £12 - £15 extra for buying over the phone. Your best bet is to only phone up for advice & then go through with paying online. However, they can waiver the fee if, like i said above, get the car insurance/renewal done early as possible.
