“The boots are basically good. They are lighter than I expected, and the last is essentially the same as the Miquel but looks even better as a boot. The color is true cognac -- rich and vibrant -- and the leather and construction seem solid -- I won't know how well built they are until I've worn them for a while. I've noticed of all my European footwear, the leather on CU shoes seems to crease the easiest, but the flip side is they're more comfortable out of the box than the others. CU shoes just feel good.
But the boots in my size sold out quickly, and it took three weeks after ordering for it and another Benjamin to finally ship, with no email updates until they did, and neither the email nor my account online showed the discount that was supposed to be applied, though I kept getting told it was there. Attempts to get this addressed with customer service on the Website chat were frustrating to say the least.
Up till now, my experiences with CU have all been great, and the customer service reps have always been helpful. Orders were kept updated. Communication was clear, and the reps really helped out.
So, the shoes are good -- the ordering experience this time? Not so much. I just hope this is a one-time situation because I do like CU shoes.”
