“Being 89 years of age I wanted an easy-to-use vacuum cleaner. My cylinder cleaner kept getting caught up on various pieces of furniture and I remembered how, many years ago, it was so easy to use an upright Hoover Junior cleaner. After hours of searching, I read the Vacmaster reviews and decided to buy one. The suction of this machine is unbelievably good! Unfortunately, it also creates the problem of being very difficult to use. Clamping to an uncarpeted floor means that it is impossible to move it and without added airflow, nothing is picked up. Is there any way to adjust the height of the head? If not, then adding such a device would make this machine the best-ever-made vacuum cleaner and worthy of a much higher price! So, despite my criticism, I'm keeping it because, following my initial struggle, the nap on flattened- carpets has been raised, making the carpets look like new. Also, the deeper clean lasts longer and I have read that it gets easier to use as time goes on. Here's hoping!”

“It’s is very easy to use and well designed. It has good suction but nothing beats the power of my Miele bagged hoover to be totally honest. This does hoover carpets nicely with its brushes. It is a tad heavy and the length of the handle can NOT be shortened so unless you are tall that’s a big annoying but overall very good value for the price I paid.”

“I was intending to buy a German brand bagged vacuum costing 4 times the price of the Vacmaster, but thought it was worth it trying the Captura given its price and 3 year warranty. I need a large capacity vacuum, as bagless models fill up too quickly. The vacuum is well made, effective and easy to use. The only negatives are the lack of height adjustable brush bar, and the fact that the floor head is much smaller than I'm used to in an upright vacuum - so it takes a few more passes to clean the floor. Given that I saved around £350 on the model I was going to buy, I am hugely impressed.”

“Very well balanced so easy to manoeuvre. Powerful suction and adapts from carpet to lino and back by itself. Easily reaches to get creepycrawlies on the ceiling. Copes with multi pet household with ease. Bag collects all the dust so no nasty blowback emptying bins. Extra long cable means I can do the whole bungalow without changing sockets. Excellent vacuum cleaner at very good price”

“Hoover is amazing, I've used a bagless cylinder hoover but getting hard work pulling it around and not cleaning carpet. This hoover is perfect, has a light at front and all attachments nicely stored and pick up of suction is brilliant. Reallt long cable too. Cannot beat a proper bagged hoover. Excellent value for money.”
