“I had a good look round for six months before I decided to get the L10. All the reviews rated it as “best bang for your buck” I got it from Cleva direct and got 10% of plus I got a free peg driver which was helpful when laying the Boundry wire. It says 30cm from the edges. However after a few trial runs I settled for 20cm as get closer to the edges. I have set it up and it does the rest. It does not seem to get right to the edges as your normal mower would not. However I have a battery Strimmer and does it in no time. My lawn is not the best as have a dog who just avoids it. You get 250 pegs and 150m of wire. You put the pegs in approx 50cm apart. What’s great is never having to drag the lawn mower out and find the extension. There are 4 settings - 4,6,8,10 hours and it starts at the time you set it to go. So if you turn it off the back on at 6pm it will start each day at 6pm and run for the hours you set. It goes for a charge up approx every 90mins. You need to leave a meter in front and behind so it can dock. The big question is would I recommend it to a friend or family member, yes I would 100%. It has a rain sensor on it and will return to its base until it is dry, or will then wait till the next day if it still sensors wet. It’s also a good talking point. Not that anyone can come round at the moment with Covid 19!!!. I’m going to make a ‘garage’ or shelter for it as they a bit pricey on line. Cleva do not seem to make them as the L10 is fully wether proof. Hope that helps anyone reading this. Peter”

“Very happy with the LawnMaster L10. I can imagine everyone in the street having one within a few weeks or months! It was easy to set up and the instructions are simple and bullet proof. From watching it work, I suspect that in my installation, for most parts of the lawn, the perimeter wire could be 25 or even 20 cm from the edge to give even better coverage. Super technology, well made and straight forward.”

“A very good purchase. Pleased with the performance so far. Simple to operate, quiet in operation, cuts well and lawn is now looking good. Only problem has been a couple of cuts to the perimeter wire early on. A couple of small improvements could be: 1. have an option for a shorter cutting time e.g. 3 or 2 hours 2. supply with solid core wire which would be less flexible and less prone to stretching and being cut than the multi-strand which is supplied,”

Thank you for the detailed review. The 2021 Firmware update for the L10 includes a new feature to operate the robot mower on alternate days. This will reduce the amount of cutting time per week. Details and updated instructions available on our website.

“Pretty easy to set up, boundary wire laid and all set up within a couple of hours. Mower has functioned well; only early issue is that it has missed a couple of patches (one about 4 feet square) so I had to manually mow these after 4 days. My lawn is towards the top end of 400sqm so this may be why. I have now altered the timer to 10 hours and will see how it goes. Given the relatively budget price for a robot mower to cover this sized lawn, I would definitely recommend it.”

“We bought this for our small garden in London. Garden is very small as is the house and idea of having big lawn mover was not an option due to no space where to keep it. We then decided to have a small robot and also save the hustle to cut grass ourselves and could just enjoy the outside space. Robot itself works very well and is very silent and have nothing regarding it's performance. However there is no way we can set it up to cut the grass for less then 4H ( we need max 30min for our garden) and for it not to cut every single day. Even for big garden I do not think it is sustainable to cut every day and cut the same cut grass for 4h and more. There is an option to manually turn the lawn mover when it is needed but that was the point to have it.”

Thank you for the review. We took your comments on board and have an additional feature in our 2021 Firmware update. Once your mower is updated you will be able to set you mower to cut on alternate days, reducing cutting every week by 50%. “I found Cleva's web site very user friendly and informative, also they answered an initial query very quickly, being impressed by this and the mower description and price I ordered one. Delivery took two days despite the current situation. It was well packed with clear user manual/instructions. I found the installation of the perimeter wire quite easy, despite suffering mobility issues. The mower has now been in action every day for a week, and performs in every respect as well or better than anticipated, lawn looking very good. I have a slightly more challenging section of lawn for it cut once I have prepared it, leveling/top dressing etc, but from my experience so far I can't see it being a problem. Time will tell, but 2 years warranty is quite reassuring, it seems a well made/sturdy and easy to use mower, if it continues to pop out every morning I couldn't be more pleased.”
