“I bought this fan to use while on my indoor bike trainer (Zwift sessions). The unit is fairly compact, light weight and easy to operate. Cable provided for power is a good length and allows me to place the fan in various locations depending on my setup. I have it currently off to the right and in front of me when on my trainer. The unit works by either manually setting the power level switch from off up to 3 or by putting the switch in the remote control position, which enables control of the unit from off up to 3 setting via the remote. I have only used it in setting 1 & 2 and found them enough to keep me cool when exercising hard, I expect the 3rd level will be required when the weather warms up and I need to move more air around to keep cool. The fan is very directional and I was unsure if I would find a suitable distance and angle combination to allow the air to blow on to me, however the versatility of the device and the long power cable allows flexibility for positioning, combined with the powerful airflow, it will cool you down even if pointing roughly in the correct direction. The remote control is the great addition for this device, it allows me to start my ride with no fan blowing, then once warmed up I can switch the fan on to level 1, or higher as I get warmer, without having to stop my session and change the fan settings. It is quite an expensive item compared to other fans, however this fan blows my other £30 fan away, even if I had 3 of them for the same price as this one Vacmaster, I would still take the Vacmaster due to remote control convenience and overall volume of air it can blow around. Wish I had bought one of these earlier and not wasted the £30 on a cheaper poorer fan and spent hours getting too hot when exercising. The noise from the Vacmaster is reasonable, but not terrible. It is moving a lot of air, so will generate noise. It doesn't interfere with my music or the noise from my Turbo Trainer. Overall, very satisfied with the device, although only used it a couple of times, so time will tell for its durability, but I am hopeful it will last a long time. Great product, fantastic air flow, remote control is the real draw for the item, just wish it was a little bit cheaper to make it the perfect item.”
