The wine was what was good quality as expected - one of 3 deliveries. The two deliveries in Derbyshire were received timely. The delivery and service in Edinburgh by DPD was an unmitigated disaster, a farce of Monty Python proportions. Intended as a Christmas gift and nominated and accepted for delivery on DECEMBER 22nd. The parcel arrived late night on 21st/early am on 22nd with DPD at its depot. Which simply advised they would not deliver it to central Edinburgh until after the Christmas break. It eventually arrived on JANUARY 7th. Various unfulfilled notices to say it would be delivered on various days in early January, ended up with the recipient (a senior consultant at Edinburgh hospital) making arrangements to have it received. Deliveries were simply delayed/unfulfilled and then an arrangement was made for it to be delivered to the local post office. Eventually, DPD delivered and left on the doorstep of recipient, at her Grade II listed terraced property, in close proximity to the footpath and roadway. Unless I can be assured that Hampers.com will not use DPD for last-mile deliveries in future, Hampers will no longer be a preferred service for the Scotland area. Thank you.
