Scholl - S20 Black 1 Step Compound

Scholl S20 Black is a true one step compound that's designed to both correct weathered and scratched paint whilst at the same time leaving behind a mirror gloss.

This makes Scholl S20 Black a fantastic detailing compound as it's possible to vary the amount of cut based upon the pad it's being used with. Scholl S20 Black contains Ultra Diminishing abrasive technology which means that when it's coupled with a aggressive cutting pad it's possible to remove even P1500-2000 grit sanding marks, but with a softer finishing pad it can be used as a light one step polish to remove holgramming and leaving a high gloss finish.

Due to continuous further improvements of Scholl Concepts IPT Powder Technology Scholl S20 Black has been developed to remove deep scratches and treats weathered surfaces quickly and effortlessly in only one step, regardless of the hardness of the clear coat systems.

“Use this stuff for removing swirling and marring on intermediate paints, leaves a great finish. Does work on hard paints such as Audi,BMW and VW but you need to work it a bit longer.”

“This was my first foray into 1 step DA polishing and was quite nervous about it even though I did understand the concept of the compound getting finer with use. Shouldnt have worried as the only issue I had was when I applied it to a too hot surface, just work in the shade on a cool panel and you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results. Just go over any deep scratches or etched areas a couple of times till you are happy, but dont go through the clearcoat or burn the paint. Wipe off, seal with glaze, polish with wax and enjoy the result. Great product.”

“Excellent compound that cuts fast and Leaves behind a minimal amount of DA haze considering it is a compound, as described you can use it either as a Polish or a compound depending on the pad, the working time of the liquid is quite long and you get the sense that the compound is telling you to " relax, chill baby. I've got this" as it dances around the panel very smoothly Using a flex 3401 on a speed of 4.5/5 with minimal pressure, I was able to cut deep defects to near 80% removal off the first pass on 2008 VW black paint, I left the compound on the paint while switching to a chemical guys white pad and worked a further 2 passes to remove hazing, this to me is a time saver. One thing I will say about the packaging of the product is I do not like the flip top which gets clogged easily and also can shoot out more product than you intended. Dispensing this in a smaller bottle easily fixes this small problem”
