Gyeon Q2 Rim Coating

Gyeon Q2 Rim Coating is a advanced SiO2 quartz coating that offers high levels of durability whilst at the same time being highly temperature resistant (up to 350°C) . This makes it an ideal product for protecting wheels, brake calipers and exhaust tips.

By using an easy to apply alcohol-free formula Gyeon Q2 Rim fully crystalises to lay down a ultra hard quartz layer that protects wheels from the harshest conditions. Gyeon Q2 Rim Sealant is resistant to not only high temperatures, but also to aggressive dust from brake pads and wheel cleaners. It is expected that 6 months/8000km to 12 months should easily be achieved.

As a result of being coated by the bonded fully crystallized SiO2 the surface of the wheel naturally becomes extremely hydrophobic meaning water rapidly beads off the surface. This turn means the Gyeon Q2 Rim offers superb self cleaning abilities as it reduces the ability of brake dust and road grime being able to stick to the surface and water will naturally help keep the surface clean.

“About to buy my second pack, first has just about lost its beading on the front wheels, only one layer and first time application. Rear wheels are still going strong, less brake dust, two layers and lessons learnt from front wheels. Great product, but would suggest two coats.”

“This is the second time I've used this product. My previous refurbished alloys had this coating applied to them. It was fairly straight forward to apply. Just the right setup and infrared lighting to cure it properly. (Otherwise wait 24hrs for cure times) I had my previous wheels, I now have sold, on my car for over a year and you could still see the beading and protection still doing it's job to about 80% effectiveness. After getting another set of wheels powder coat refurbished as new I decided to use this product again as it works very well for me last time. Far out preformed any waxes, sealants etc I'd tried previously. If you have nice new wheels and don't want to spend all your time washing them but just want to use a quick jet wash to get them like new again this is the product to use.”

“Having just refurbished my wheels I thought I'd give this a go, having just used wheel waxes before this was a tad different. So having thoroughly cleaned the wheels I put on my respirator & nitrile gloves & got to applying the coating, it was easy enough although using the the foam supplied foam block soon proved futile trying to get in to all the curves & smaller places on the rims. So after the 24 hr curing period the rims have a lovely gloss to them & the beading is simply awesome. Can't comment on the longevity as yet but it has to better than the wax.”
