Gyeon Q2 Rim Coating

Gyeon Q2 Rim Coating is a advanced SiO2 quartz coating that offers high levels of durability whilst at the same time being highly temperature resistant (up to 350°C) . This makes it an ideal product for protecting wheels, brake calipers and exhaust tips.

By using an easy to apply alcohol-free formula Gyeon Q2 Rim fully crystalises to lay down a ultra hard quartz layer that protects wheels from the harshest conditions. Gyeon Q2 Rim Sealant is resistant to not only high temperatures, but also to aggressive dust from brake pads and wheel cleaners. It is expected that 6 months/8000km to 12 months should easily be achieved.

As a result of being coated by the bonded fully crystallized SiO2 the surface of the wheel naturally becomes extremely hydrophobic meaning water rapidly beads off the surface. This turn means the Gyeon Q2 Rim offers superb self cleaning abilities as it reduces the ability of brake dust and road grime being able to stick to the surface and water will naturally help keep the surface clean.

“2nd purchase of Q2 rim coating for new set of wheels. Really like the simplicity of this, wipe on wipe off, not complicated application proceedures. Has great durability, coated the current wheels 8 months ago (circa 9,000 miles) and a quick wash with warm soapy water and the come up looking like new and still bead water. Highly recommend this product and the guys at Clean Your Car for well packaged speedy deliveries.”

“I do like all Gyeon products -4 microfibre squares included - was a little tricky to get used to the application. I did not use the dropper and just dropped it from bottle only squares. Have to wrap around the sponge to apply - trying not to use too much - used squares folded to get into smaller parts of alloys, lug holes etc. I used about half the bottle for 4 wheels inside and out - wheels look very good - will be interesting to see how long it lasts and what the wheel cleaning will be like. I just had my wheels refurbished so are like new - will look at Q2 repel for windscreen next.”

“Probably took me about’s 6 hours to do all 4 wheels and that entailed removing them from car, iron x and then using a clay bar so it wasn’t a 2 minute job like I thought it might be. But it’s the preparation that’s the key and the result is well worth it. The wheels are now so easy to clean and the brown brake dust that German cars are known for comes off with very little effort. Highly pleased.”

“Excellent product - strong coverage, good hydrophobic nature easy to use. Got excellent coverage with two full sets of wheels (18's and 17's) two coats on each inside and out. Plus an additional coat on a set of 20" - so better coverage than others. Time will tell on how well it lasts but that will take time”

“Really impressed so far. Easy application, good coverage, darkens blacks etc. Good hydrophobic capabilities - will be interesting to see how long it lasts but only time will tell. Coverage wise I had two full coats on wide 18"s (barrels and faces) and two full coats on 17's (barrels and faces) - then had enough to do the faces of 4 x 20" on an M5 - so with the correct prep you have plenty to do two cars”
