Gtechniq I1 - Smart Fabric

Protect your interior from coffee, wine, cola, etc by treating it with Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric Coat.

Unlike regular coatings the nano particles of Gtechniq I1 coat the individual fibres of fabric, leaving the 'breathability' and feel of the fabric unaffected. The former means that stale air can still escape but at the same time repelling any water or oil based liquids. Being solvent based ensures a much deeper penetration of the active ingredient giving an I1 treated surface much better durability and overall performance. Typically an I1 treated surface will outlast conventional water repellent coatings by a factor of approximately x5 with durability on soft-tops for example, lasting as much as three years.

“OK I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first: this stuff is quite spendy! However... its also flipping magic! I tried to reproof my mini with this product, going by the previous time I did it (with fabsil gold) I thought I could get away with a 250ml bottle - hah, no chance! The bottle barely did the back and just about half of the top. It had taken me three cleans to get the roof ready (using gtechniq W5 - also highly recommended) and I didn't want to drive the car without protection. So I did an impromptu experiment- painting the other half with the fabsil gold I had left over from last time. Six months later, you can see the water sitting on the smart fabric side, but soaks straight in to the fabsil side. In fact, two weeks ago we had a massive "stair-rods" thunderstorm which washed the fabsil out. Conclusion: don't be a tightwad and do the job properly with geotechniq the first time!”

“Used to protect the pop top fabric on this VW Camper, have used previously to protect convertible roofs and interior fabric, carpets and mats always with excellent results.”

“Not tested the stain resistancy yet (hopefully wont have to) but the product was very easy to use. Smells very strong for a few days but dies down by the end of the week.”

“The amount of cleaner is adequate however, the waterproofer is only enough for a small roof and the nozzle jet is too fierce concentrating in a small area. Not overly impressed considering the price paid. Wouldn't recommend as value for money.”

“I always use this product it best I've ever used on the car to protect from drink spills with the kids. Not only here it works great on coats & shoes to for the winter.”
