Collinite No. 845 - Insulator Wax
Collinite say No845 Insulator Wax is their best selling wax, we use this a lot and we understand why. Collinite no 845 Insulator wax is the liquid version of Collinite 476s. Insulator Wax started life as a protective wax for electrical power companies. That goes in some way to explain how tough and durable no 845 Insulator wax is.
Collinite no 845 Insulator Wax leaves a tough, protective coating that more than stands up to all that nature can throw at your paint.
Used on a clearcoat and no 845 Insulator Wax gives you a high gloss, wet look. This wax is better suited to lighter paint colours and those wanting maximum durability.
No 845 Insulator Wax is semi solid in the bottle, shake for about a minute and watch the wax loosen, it's then ready to apply, can be used by hand or with a machine polisher.
Our reviewers love this wax with one adding that No 845 is 'by far one of the best waxes i have ever used'.
16oz (473ml) Bottle

I have really bad OCD when it comes to my Z4, so i really wanted a great wax so gave 845 a go and boy its great stuff, my silver car is so shiny after using this product and the beading too........ It doesnt smell great and the bottle looks like its from the 1950s but dont let this great wax put you off.

A bit hard to buff up.. but to be fair it was bloody freezing, and it does say apply to luke warm bodywork. Great shine, and easy to keep clean, a lot of muck just slides off. Great product!

845 is great for the winter months. Easy on/off and is forgiving if you catch some plastic trim while applying. Awesome beading and feels very tough. Washing after applying is effortless, dirt comes off with a gentle wipe of the mitt. Not as reflective as something like Amigo but still nicely shiny and smooth looking. The bottle is large and very little is required so it's great valve. Just be prepared to shake it hard for a good few minutes before first use. It helps to pour a bit out to get more air in the bottle before shaking.

Shortly after using this my car looked like new, despite being a 2003 silver golf gti! Even 1 month on, when it rains, the rain seems to sit differently on the body?! I'm very impressed and cant wait for the summer to show it off! I also have a carbon fibre road bike and used on here!

This is the easiest collinite wax to use, very durable too. But not as durable as 915 or 476s, its appeal is its ease of use and shine. Similar in shine and water beading. Anyone who wants to venture into collinite products should try this first. But i first tried 476s, which is like a paste version of 845 IW. Collinite should improve its packaging. Not too presentable, a bit dead in appeal/appearance. But with a product this good, packaging is secondary. The product speaks for itself.

My favorite wax, extremely easy to work with and the protection is the best I've seen. Better than AG HD wax and priced much more competitively.

Collinite 845 is awsome. It is incredibly easy to apply and buff off and the beading is amazing - even when the car is filthy it beads well and the water just flies off even at low speeds. A bottle will last years as two coats will last all winter the durablility is that good and the product quickly forms a wax 'plug' on the surface of the foam applicator which means that it doesn't soak in and waste product. A clue to its durability is in how difficult it is to clean the applicator - *very* hot water and a lot of washing up liquid.
