Collinite No. 845 - Insulator Wax
Collinite say No845 Insulator Wax is their best selling wax, we use this a lot and we understand why. Collinite no 845 Insulator wax is the liquid version of Collinite 476s. Insulator Wax started life as a protective wax for electrical power companies. That goes in some way to explain how tough and durable no 845 Insulator wax is.
Collinite no 845 Insulator Wax leaves a tough, protective coating that more than stands up to all that nature can throw at your paint.
Used on a clearcoat and no 845 Insulator Wax gives you a high gloss, wet look. This wax is better suited to lighter paint colours and those wanting maximum durability.
No 845 Insulator Wax is semi solid in the bottle, shake for about a minute and watch the wax loosen, it's then ready to apply, can be used by hand or with a machine polisher.
Our reviewers love this wax with one adding that No 845 is 'by far one of the best waxes i have ever used'.

Bought the Collinite No. 845 to test it out. It was everything I hoped for, long lasting, easy to use and leaves a great finish. I'ts not a showroom-wax, but a long lasting wax. It's a bit smelly(petroleum), but only when you apply it. I recomend this product and this supplier. I received it within one week in Norway :) Thumbs up!

Decided to give this a go after reading a lot of good reviews on internet forums. I started by transferring a small amount of the thick and clumpy wax from its original bottle into a smaller plastic bottle. This bottle was then left in a mug of warm water whilst I washed the car. On my return the thick clumpy Collinite wax had transformed into a much smoother liquid which after a quick vigorous shake was ready to go. The wax goes on really well and you really do only require the tiniest amount to cover entire panels of the car. Using such a small amount means that it is also really easy to polish off. Final result was very impressive with a great shine. Water beads nicely too. Hardly used any at all to wash my entire car so this bottle will last me for years. Also a big thanks to cleanyourcar.co.uk for such quick delivery. The hand written compliments slip received with my delivery was a nice touch and was much appreciated. Will happily use again.

I consider this the ideal beginners, all-purpose wax. Some products last longer but this is semi-liquid so easy to apply, just keep the coats very thin. This is pure protection, it doesn't correct or mask any defects, so you should polish the surface first. I get 3-6 months protection from two coats (only need to leave 30 min between coats, worth doing as it lasts much better). 845 is initially viscous; place bottle in a bucket of warm water for 10 minutes and then shake it vigorously with a finger over the cap. Apply thinly: 4 penny-sized blobs on the soft side of a German applicator foam pad is more than enough for a whole door! Dab the pad a couple of times on the panel, then wipe on in straight lines with gentle pressure. Leave to partially dry to a haze (10-20 min, swipe test), them buff off with a microfibre. If you've put too much on or its dried too much you may need to mist some QD (water/shampoo mix) to assist with removal). There's a plethora of products in this category, and the stages you can go through are seemingly endless; in theory you can apply a nano-ceramic coating, then seal, wax and apply a glaze. But 845 remains a great value all-rounder for beginners that has great staying power.

I use this wax mainly on my wheels, a few coats and months of protection, I've just put it on the paintwork but can't comment about durability but my white car shines bright like a diamond

Easy to apply and buff off and a little goes a long, long, long way. Great on wheels but make sure to keep in warm otherwise it solidifies in the dispenser spout.
