Collinite No. 845 - Insulator Wax
Collinite say No845 Insulator Wax is their best selling wax, we use this a lot and we understand why. Collinite no 845 Insulator wax is the liquid version of Collinite 476s. Insulator Wax started life as a protective wax for electrical power companies. That goes in some way to explain how tough and durable no 845 Insulator wax is.
Collinite no 845 Insulator Wax leaves a tough, protective coating that more than stands up to all that nature can throw at your paint.
Used on a clearcoat and no 845 Insulator Wax gives you a high gloss, wet look. This wax is better suited to lighter paint colours and those wanting maximum durability.
No 845 Insulator Wax is semi solid in the bottle, shake for about a minute and watch the wax loosen, it's then ready to apply, can be used by hand or with a machine polisher.
Our reviewers love this wax with one adding that No 845 is 'by far one of the best waxes i have ever used'.
16oz (473ml) Bottle

absolutely brilliant product. put in a container with hot water to ensure it is liquid form. I apply it with a DA polisher with a finishing pad. Goes on amazing, easy to wipe off. Pictures do not do justice, could apply all day every day. Just wish collinite had some polishes to go with this amazing wax. Would not think about using another wax.

A product used for marine applications has to be good and on car paintwork has turned out to be a real find. Outstanding sealing properties.

Bought this over the weekend to add some winter protection to my car. Came the next day! Easy to apply, waited about 10 mins then buffed off with a double sided micro fiber cloth. My car is already maintained to a high standard and with it being black its not the easiest. The level of depth and gloss it's added to my paintwork is amazing. Pictures don't do it justice.

I use this product just twice a year on my alloy wheels when I swap from winter to summer tyre sets and vice versa (I wash the wheels, let them dry, and then apply Insulator Wax before storing individually in Ikea storage bags...). Does it do any good? - I'm not sure, but it certainly makes me feel better! Seriously, the wax does make it easier to wash off brake dust (I use Bilt Hamber for that) and seems to last all season. (More frequent application is bound to be helpful, but then I only clean the car every few months anyway so I don't really notice!). Worth warming the wax slightly as you get lower in the bottle otherwise it's hard to get out.

I can get a little OCD with my detailing. In the summer I wash with Poorboys slick and wax, then PB Black Hole and finally a couple of coats of Dodo Blue Velvet on metallic blue and a black Audi. My partner has a silver Audi A1 and on that I substitute black hole with Poorboys white diamond, and Collinite 945 over the top. Living in a “very poor weather area” where it pretty-much rains every day and the winters are quite severe with lots and lots of salt on the roads, I just use Collinite 945 October-March on both as this gives the ultimate protection. A quick snow foam with Angelwax fastfoam, rinse and dry and the vehicles look pretty much as good as they do in summer. Ease of use (warm/shake first of course), durability and sheer quality of shine are impeccable. In short, this is an amazing product and I would use nothing else for winter shine and protection.

Unless you've stored this in a very warm place, it is likely to be very thick and solid but after 2-3 minutes in warm water, it pours beautifully and spreads perfectly. Water beading is 5 star!
