Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance Premium Auto Wax

'Collinite 915 is simply a great wax', is how one reviewer summed up Marque D'Elegance.

With over 15% more than our No. 476s, the Marque D' Elegance boasts Collinite’s highest amount of rare carnauba; yielding the highest gloss and warmest shine to darker, meticulously maintained finishes. As it's Collinite, expect nothing less than amazing durability year round.

Better suited to darker paint finishes, Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance enhances the paint colour giving it a glossy, warm and smooth finish with great water beading. Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance has no abrasives so is clearcoat safe.

For the best finish and to really allow the Collinite 915 to bond to the paint we'd recommend after thoroughly washing & drying your paintwork, use Collinite No. 325 Auto Cleaner Wax or Collinite 390 Pre-Wax Cleaner to deep cleanse the paint for maximum gloss & durability.

Collinite 915 comes in a large wide mouthed 12oz (340ml) tin.

Been using this stuff for years now, it’s the only wax I use (I have tried many others) it lasts months even over a year if applied correctly on properly prepared paint work. I saw one of the reviews stating they couldn’t buff the wax off, I’ve honestly never had this problem. All I will say is that you need to make sure your paintwork is free from contamination before application, otherwise it won’t go on as well as it should. The beading on this is brilliant. 100% recommend.

Got this as a gift that i requested so i was incredibly excited to use it. Followed instructions exactly and it just would not buff off. Tried it a number of times with different cars but just hardens to a point where you are marring your paint to remove. Tried it with a machine to get it wicked thin, but still had trouble removing it. All my gear is top notch so its not that. My advice, skip this and get something that is easier to work with like autoglym hd or gyeon if you can put up with the silly bottle. Avoid, much better products out there at this price point.

Usually use collinite 476s which is 5* for me. Thought I would try the 915 for a change. Doesnt seem that much different than the 476s in both application and finish. Using on "spirit blue paint" Happy with the 915 but for me, hard to justify the extra cost.

very very good . i saw some of the other reviews an how they found it hard to buff off, not at all . The only explanation for that is they have not prepped the paint properly . You need to clay and polish the car first to get out all the contaminants out the paint, other wise you will find it hard to buff off .... I used this one an Black metallic paint on a Mk 5 golf gti and its gone on lovely with DA and buffed off lovely by hand i did cut the pint back first with merenza 400 ten used meranza 3800 then cleaned off with the eraser then the wax car is looking gleaming and the beading is very good with the dirt finding it hard to stick . Well worth the money .

First time using a premium wax. Previously used farcela g3 wax from halfords and although very easy to apply and removal it only lasted a matter of couple of weeks at best. I applied 2 coats of Collinite 915 after a quick hand polish using Meguires ultimate liquid polish and after a week car need a wash. I washed and put another coat of this wax on in 1 hour. The dirt just slips away. The surface is just super slippery and looks great, even when the car was dirty, you can tell it’s shiny (if that makes sence) Just go super super thin and you can go wrong. Easy in and easy off. If you can see the wax while applying then its too thick and a bugger to remove. As read somewhere else, if sont think your applying any just dab the applicator on a window, if it leaves wax then your good. Little tip, a quick spary of qd on the applicator before loading the wax and it makes it go on smoother and thinner. Absolutely brilliant wax.

So my go to wax was always Colly 476S because of the superb durability. But, it has a price to pay and that is that it can be very hard to buff off (especially on white where the caked wax can be hard to see). I'd heard that the 915 was almost as durable but a little easier to buff off so I was keen to try this. First impressions are that it's a finer wax and it goes on nice an thin with a dampened foam applicator. It can still be quite hard to buff off if left too long or caked on too thick so I'd say it's quite similar to 476S in this regard. It subjectively leaves a glossier, deeper shine than 476S and I would say it 'feels' slicker on the surface than 476S too. I can't comment on durability as it's only been on 24 hours so far - but this wax is well discussed on detailing forums so I'd expect it to be beading water in a couple of months. This isn't too vital for me as I tend to use a carnauba-based quick detailer after each wash which will top-up & maintain the protection from this wax anyway.
