Collinite No.476S Super Double Coat wax

Collinite 476s is a real enthusiasts wax, no added gimmicks just a hard working and durable wax. This wax stands up to rain, snow, salt, dust and grime so is perfect for a winter wax when you need that extra protection.  Collinite 476s also protects against UV so good for the summer months too. In fact Collinite claim you can get up to 12 months protection from 476s.

With all that durability you might wonder if you miss out on shine, well actually no. Collinite 476s adds a real deep gloss to solid colours and makes metallic flakes come to life.

Collinite 476s is a carnauba based paste wax with no cleaners. When you come to applying Collinite 476s use a foam wax applicator pad, allow to cure before buffing off with a microfibre towel, for best results apply in multiple thin layers.

Have a look at our reviews for Collinite 476s, it's as well loved from our customers as it is from us.

I don't usually write reviews, but after just buying a new car I read a lot to find a decent wax to keep it looking lovely, this seemed to be a popular choice and I'm so glad I bought it! Absolutely fantastic finish! My car looks like a showroom car all the time! I agree with others that you need to not leave it on for too long or it is like a full blown workout to buff it off, but if you do a panel at a time it's easy on easy off! I've only used the once so far but it hardly looks like I've touched the tin! This will probably last me forever! Definitely worth the extra few pennies for a good result! Previously I've used the turtle wax equivalent to this but this gives a much better result! Great investment, fabulous product and will be highly recommending to family and friends! Now buy some and get your shine on!

I was recommended this product by a work colleague who is obsessive about his car paintwork and has tried many different waxes, finding this one to be the best. He was not wrong. It was easy to apply and the resulting finish is everything I'd hope for - very smooth and glossy, repelling the elements easily. Well worth the money.

A break in the weather gave me an opportunity to try this out yesterday. I've always used AG SRP but wanted something to go over the top and seal this in. Went on very easily - followed the tips about doing a panel at a time. Left a very nice shine with the paint feeling smooth. It does take a bit more buffing than SRP but then it should last longer. It rained overnight and the bodywork had excellent beading this morning. Can't comment on the durability yet as its only been on a day.

After polishing the car, I went on to applying this wax. It went on easily and came off easily 3 minutes later. It leaves amazing results and lasts ages, I applied a coat in July 2013 and it is still beading now! This is everything you could want a wax!

Finally got round to laying down my first coat of Collinite today. I've been using Dodo Juice "light fantastic" since I got a silver car and although it gave a great gleam, it only seemed to last 30 seconds! so after a couple of recommendations I thought I'd give Collinite a go... so far all is very promising. Goes on well and gives good feedback through the pad and comes off just as easy. I can't yet comment on its durability but for a wax in this price bracket its easily as good those considerably more expensive when used on a lighter coloured car such as silver or white. however I do think some of the less durable waxes may give a better shine at the sacrifice of durability if your paint is dark, metal flake or pearlecent. but mine being a daily driver, Collinite seems to be a great solution!

Before i did my HW i used to use Meguiars Carnuba wax. Thought I did a great job. I guess i did but boy the wax let me down. Before I knew it the wax was washed away, the black of my ridgeline was a fog. Then I did my HW. I used this wax after I washed the truck, clayed the paint, washed the truck, polished, glazed then waxed with 476s. I did this in April, come May/June the pollen had coverded the truck. As soon as I went for a drive the pollen 'poof' disapreared, had nothing to hold onto. The truck looked shiny again. Come August when charity car wash was in high season, i had someone yelling at me from the corner to get a car wash then said, 'nah his car is still shiny'. 3rd party confirmation that this wax is amazing. I don't wash my truck more than 6 times a year since starting this process, and two of those 6 times involve this process. First wax right before the snow/salt season, the second wax right before the pollen/sun season.

Great product, really impressed with it, easy to take off, little bit harder to put on, but it is a wax! Not had any rain yet to test it though :)
