“Not exactly new car smell but a 'clean' smell none the less, like leather. Lasts for ages and I just tend to give a couple of squirts when I vac the car.”

“Although this product has a lovely smell, a very clean almost minty type of scent. Sort of smell I expected to smell in a dentist, it certainly doesn't smell like a new car, which is a bit disheartening, as this is what I really wanted. I like the product, and will certainly use it, but if you want 100% new car smell, I would avoid, as this isn't what that is.”

“I can see why some reviews of this product aren't entirely favourable. Unlike other "New Car Smell" efforts (Magic Tree, California Scents, I'm looking at you) Chemical Guys have taken a more accurate approach to trying to recreate the new car smell, by trying to recreate the chemical smell that causes the actual smell in the first place. People often say this product doesn't smell "natural" but since when is the new car smell natural? For me this is the closest I've seen to recreating the scent, and if the right amount is sprayed or you dilute prior, the scent is much less concentrated and easier on the senses. I also sometimes like to spray some of CG's Leather air freshener at the same time. Personally I think this is great and would recommend if you're looking for something different to the rest.”

“I like it. It is a clean smell very much like Gliptone leather conditioner. I only tried a little bit and it's lasted a few days but it cleans, doesn't leave any marks and smells nice. Not perfumy, flowery or anything like an air freshener. It smells like quality! Much better than other things I've used. Also the parcel was very well wrapped, bubble wrap, polystyrene chips and a strong box. Comes with a spray trigger thing you need to attach unless you are going to dilute it into something else. Will last ages.”

“This stuff goes a long way and it will probably last me forever. The smell only last a few days before it needs another squirt, and is not the best smell (in my opinion) unfortunately I don't think i'll be buying this one again, but for sure will try the apple scent!”

“Chemical Guys products are known for the awesome smell they've got, so i decided to give this a try. It's definitely strong, so has to be used with caution. The smell in my opinion is not very good, and with only one squirt in a normal sized car left me with a headaching odour for a couple of days. But let the odour lighten up a bit, and after a week or so the odour is soft and gentle, and smells really great. It definitely does a good job eliminating other smells too. So, a couple of cons, but still a great product. Will next time try to let the car vent with doors open for a couple of hours after applying, maybe it will soften the smell.”

“Overall, I'm sorry to say I'm a bit disappointed by this product. I usually find that Chemical Guy's stuff is pretty good, but this isn't really as good as the rest of their gear. It's not like any new car I've ever smelled. Not even sure what it is like, but whatever it is I don't like it.”
