Description:A deliciously cleansing, loose-leaf tea which is among the freshest and sweetest of the green tea family. Each tea leaf is rolled into a tiny ball (these little pellets were mistaken for gunpowder by sixteenth century traders, hence the name). When brewed it has a smoky flavour with hints of aromatic honey.

“The delicate smokey flavour reminds me of a beautiful peaty malt whisky like Laphroaig and it's hint of honey is like sticking your face into a freshly opened pouch of rolling tobacco. A real pleasure and a less expensive habit!”

“This is wonderfully fragrant and a little goes a long way. Have to be careful not to let it infuse too long as it's pretty robust. It's much more complex than any 'commercial'' brands - I love it!”
