“Following the death of my wife, I had a Celtic Cross made which came with an 18" chain as standard. When ordering the item I had a choice of 4 metals and approx 15 coloured resins to choose from but did not notice that the different chains, and lengths, were in a separate part of the home page. As the length of the chain was unsuitable to me personally I contacted Cherished Urns who advised me of the whereabouts of the page with the chains and various lengths on it. I chose the Rope Chain which, like every other chain on there, is offered with a maximum length of 22" but this is merely an 18" chain with a 4" extension piece fitted to it. Whilst this fits me better I think I will still need to take it to a local jeweller and buy another extension piece as I am wary of sleeping in the chain so remove my cross every night but, as I'm on my own, I struggle to fit and remove it as it's not long enough for me to see when trying to fix it at the front and, to some extent fixing is not helped by the little heart that is fixed to the chain right by the clasp itself. I find this impedes trying to fasten the chain unless someone is there to fix the chain and keep it out of the way and, if I can get the chain extended then I will also ask the jeweller to move this away from the clasp area. The chain itself is beautiful and I have had many compliments regarding it BUT I believe they need to put the chain selection on the same page as the metals and resins because I certainly didn't notice it only came with an 18" chain but that was because I was more concerned with getting the right item for me in the correct metal and resin colour. It does say on there that it comes with an 18" chain but I was not functioning very well when I ordered it and I also believe they need to provide a longer length chain as it seems the maximum length is 22" (with one extension piece) and nobody wants a chain with 2 or 3 extension pieces fitted so I will have to, hopefully, have the 4" one removed and a 6" one fitted.”
