This ornate Dreyfuss & Co. stainless steel pocket watch is powered by an automatic movement and features an opening mechanism to display the inner workings of the pocket watch. In stainless steel, the round pocket watch is brightened by a white dial, with an inner textured circle adding depth to the design. Circling the dial, the hours are marked by black Roman numerals along with a minute track surrounding them, clearly visible against the light tones. The slim minute and hour hands are shimmering blue tone, with the Dreyfuss & Co. logo just beneath the twelve o’clock position. At three, a smaller subdial sits, displaying the seconds as they pass. The face of the pocket watch is protected by a layer of sapphire crystal glass. Atop the watch, the crown winds the mechanism, as well as adjusting the time. A small button above this releases the catch on the back panel, opening the casing to display the workings, protected by glass. When closed, the panel has a circular cutaway, which also displays the inside workings of the pocket watch. The pocket watch casing measures 55mm in width and 20mm in depth, and has been handmade in Switzerland to meet the Dreyfuss & Co. Seafarer Standard of waterproofing. This means that this watch is impervious to water. The pocket watch also comes with a chain attached to the box, with a T-bar fastening.
