Earthborn Claypaint is a unique eco paint with a luxurious, ultra-matt finish for walls and ceilings. The beautiful range of traditional and contemporary colours are soothing and inspiring. Health and environmental benefits are unbeatable, too - Claypaint is virtually free of VOCs and other harmful emissions, odour free, totally oil free and highly breathable - great for traditional buildings, babies' nurseries and children's rooms. Being static resistant, Earthborn Claypaint reduces dust and allergen build-up, making it the ideal choice for asthma and allergy sufferers. It is also easy to apply and has great covering power.  Deliciously thick and creamy, it goes on like a dream and often requires fewer coats than conventional emulsions. All this and no horrible smells or emissions. With virtually no VOC's you can happily sleep in the same room that has been painted the same day. In July 2014, we hosted our first shabby chic furniture painting class using our beautiful Cla...

I've used Earthborn Claypaint all over my house since I moved into a stone cottage three years ago. The paint covers well and is easy to apply. I also like that there is no odour to speak of and the colour range includes many shades that I like (my kitchen is painted Cat's Cradle, the dining room Hobby Wood, the hallway Hippo Hurray, the living room Sunday Stroll, one bedroom is Grasshopper and for the other bedroom I mixed Cat's Cradle and Gingham half and half to get a blueish grey that is not quite as pale as Smidgen - I am very pleased with all the colours I've chosen). I have found that the second coat can get a bit streaky to look at once it has dried, so now always try to get away with one generous coat only. The second coat does not improve appearance - quite the opposite, in fact! Maybe it is different for people who roll on the paint, but I always use a 4 inch brush.

Excellent coverage and beautiful to work with. Yes, it is more expensive than your general DIY store wall paint but you get what you pay for and with old properties you need breathable paint.

This is an absolutely gorgeous paint with good coverage. Even my decorator was impressed! It has a softness that regular paint doesn't have.

Great breathable paint, provides a consistent solid depth of colour. I used Tom's bakery on a lime plastered room and a bare stone wall that recently had the the 80's Newtonite removed and allowed to dry out, applied like a charm and will continue to allow moisture to pass as needed without destroying the paint finish. Apologies to the purists out there but this is infinitely easier than using lime wash and in my view does a better job. Highly recommended product.
