Earthborn Lifestyle is durable and washable eco-friendly alternative to standard washable emulsions. Ideal for the busier and higher humidity where walls are more likely to get marked and scuffed. Being virtually VOC-free and free from any hazardous chemicals meaning no nasty paint smells allowing you to move to the painted room on the same day. (see full ingredient declaration below) Unfortunately, there are no samples available in the Lifestyle Emulsion. However, the colour range is the same as Earthborn's Claypaint and samples are available in that range. For properties where breathability is important i.e. solid masonry building's, you may wish to consider the Earthborn Claypaint due to its significantly higher breathability. I absolutely love the Claypaint. Initially we got it because we needed a breathable paint for the old bedroom wall. It has the most fantastic matt finish, and can be applied quite thickly, disguising blemishes and even filling in the odd little hole. I liked it so much I used it in other rooms as well, although if you wash it, it washes off, so best not for areas like a kitchen or muddy dogs. For other areas you can just touch it up if you get a mark on it, as I did in our bedroom after the plumbers had been in banging about. The only downside for me is the cost, and although it covers really really well you use more paint than conventional matt. For example I opted to use another, cheaper bog standard brand matt paint in the lounge - but it looked awful and didn't cover blemishes, and even looked a bit shiny. So I used up my last tin of Claypaint for the final coat and now it looks brilliant - but only covered about 2/3 of the area of the bogstandard tin of paint. So it costs more and you use more. But I am still going to keep using it because it looks fantastic and doesn't smell of anything and it's healthier. I'm going to try the Lifestyle emulsion in the kitchen now because that currently has vinyl silk and looks pants.

Seems to come off the wall easier than other paints eg with tape around sockets

Colours have come out brilliantly and the clay texture which was advised for our walls really does a great job of disguising all the blemishes. Knowing the products are completely solvent free and eco friendly is a definite plus. In our particular case, the coverage

We used the lifestyle emulsion for our son's bedroom as we wanted a more hard wearing paint than the clay paint. (If we had been painting onto plaster we would have used clay for breathability, but this room had been painted multiple times in other paints). The Yum Yum colour is lovely, my son is very happy with it. How hardwearing it is remains to be seen but it painted on well with a microfibre roller.

Because of health problems I only use low voc paint and I have tried several brands as some still have an odour that affects me. I have found Earthborn paints suit me best and I love the rich creamy texture of the paint. It also covers better than the others that I have tried. It's a lovely luscious paint which I will be using again.
