La Tienda pigments are extremely versatile, easy to use, light and colour fast. One 500 gram box should be more than enough for an average size room when using one of the following methods. Colour washing - This method is easy and effective, creating a rich, rustic finish. To create a wash, mix one part pigment to one part Earthborn Wall Glaze & water. Distemper - This centuries old traditional finish for interior walls creates a chalky finsih that modern emulsions cannot offer. Chalk or whiting is usewd and coloured by pigment that has been mixed with water. For a more even pastel effect, simply dissolve pigment in water and add to emulsion paint. Lime & Plaster - La Tienda pigments can be mixed into limewash or lime plaster, or any other plaster. Beware that the more pigment you add to lime, the less stable & breathable it will become.
