EcoPro Silicate Masonry Paint is a highly durable mineral paint that dries to a classic, matt finish. Being highly breathable yet water repellent it offers an alternative to traditional lime based and conventional coatings. The Ecopro Silicate Paint System requires all surfaces to be primed with a single coat of Ecopro Silicate Primer followed by two coats of Ecopro Silicate Masonry Paint (first coat must be diluted with 10-20% Ecopro Silicate Primer, Read: Why do I need to use Earthborn Silicate Primer? (opens in new tab)) . The paint and primer products form a chemical bond with underlying materials to create a water and weather-resistant barrier while remaining water vapour permeable which enables the building to breathe. Ecopro Silicate Masonry paint can have a lifespan of up to 15 years. It can be used on interior and exterior mineral surfaces e.g. stone, masonry, concrete, pebble dash, plaster and sound silicate-based paint surfaces. It is espec...

I’ve used this paint on the outside of my home in the past and it still looks fresh after 4 years. This time, I used it on an internal stone wall. The wall has been a problem in the past as it is in a bathroom and the wall needs to breathe. I used tester pots and the coverage was surprisingly good. My only feedback is that it would be nice if the product was available in 2.5 litre pots rather than 5 litres which is much more than I need. Great product!

The only reason that I reviewed this as 4 star and not 5 is because the paint pigment in the pots we received (4 tins in total ) had not been mixed 100% and we were finding red pigment in the paint that we had to spread out on the wall to mix in . This was quite frequent but the product itself now looks fab on our cottage

Beautiful paint though the quantities recommended are way off. Erring on the side of caution I did my calculations based on 5sqm/litre for my lime rendered house. I was re-painting over another silicate system. I ordered 15 tubs, 150 litres. I did 2 coats on most of the building, the first diluted 20% with primer as recommended, and on the most weathered West wall did a primer coat, a 20% coat and 2 full coats. .........I have 11 unopened tubs of paint and 2 unopened tubs of primer left over. I didn’t stretch it and in fact couldn’t have put more on if I’d tried! So I’m thrilled with the result, it looks fantastic, but now have a load of paint to get rid of on eBay! The colour is Pampas, which is a really cool pale cream.

Went on well even on a rough surface. Time will tell how durable it is
