I have used this product on new plaster and it created a great anchor for the subsequent coats of paint. I used Auro 321 White and it looked good with only two coats of paint (after the primer went on). The primer is diluted 50:50 and is as thin as water at this point. So it's messy with lots of drips to catch and re-spread. It's necessary to work quickly yet thoroughly, to ensure that all parts of the surface have absorbed the primer properly. I didn't get all my priming done in the same work shift (what?), but it was easy to see where I left off - the freshly applied primer onto already-primed plaster left no damp mark, whereas on the bare plaster it did. Simples!

Easy to apply, very low odour, dries to a completely clear finish. You can tell which walls you've primed after by running a wet finger across the wall: untreated new plaster will instantly look wet, primed plaster will not change colour instantly and gradually darken as the water slowly absorbs. No problems applying Auro paints after priming with this onto freshly skimmed walls.
