Good results using this to remove some stubborn floor paint which was melting/gumming up the sandpaper when I used a sander on it. Also used to strip old varnish from window frames.

Works well on oak covered for 40 plus years in 'plastic' varnish. Removes without hassle, dangers of other products. All ready eco friendly oils . Good instructions too

Absolutely life changing! This has made stripping paint and varnish from my 100-year old wood stairs a breeze. It has virtually no smell whatsoever so I don't need to wear a mask/respirator which is a lot safer and more comfortable to use. The product is easy to apply and is relatively mess free as you can 'scoop' up as much as you need. I tried using it with a scraper, which failed miserably, but it made a massive difference when I tried the steel wool method recommended. It scrapes up all the gunk with ease, almost as if lifting up grease from an old pan. Some areas require a bit more elbow grease and maybe two or three of layers of the remover to get everything off. However, it is far more efficient than the other nasty, smelly, and borderline dangerous strippers I've used before. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic product, I have previously used it to remove vinyl paint off the concrete interior render on our 250yr old house so knew it was good. So when I had an issue regarding paint and a rosewood Upvc window frame thought I'd give it a go. I had been painting an out building with masonary paint and wiped the rosewood Upvc frame with what I thought was a clean cloth. Next day, to my horror, I found the frame had dried paint smeared all over it, and into the grain. It transpired the cloth had what I think was watered down eggshell, plus of course then the masonary paint on it. I tried all sorts of solvents - white spirit, methalated spirit, acetone - and nothing made any difference. So I used the Home Strip, left it on only a couple of minutes and then wiped off - and it worked! I was dreading having to paint the frame to resolve the issue, but Home Strip saved the day for me and lots of work!
