I feel a little let down with this Makita nailer, the depth control adjustment is poorly designed, awkward to adjust and simply doesn't give sufficient depth especially when using the anti mar pad. On max depth the heads will be proud unless you hold the tool perfectly square to the surface, which isn't always possible in a tight spot. I've also had several jams driving 50mm brads into oak. I had to use a screwdriver on a couple of occasions to remove the mangled brad from the nosepiece as they were really stuck fast! Maybe I should have paid more for the Senco or Bostitch? Power wise it's no better than a cheap one I bought from Aldi several years ago it's just quicker to clear a jam having the quick release nose.

Brilliant nailer as you'd expect from Makita. No air leakage and the adjustment is easy and hassle free. Sinks the brads perfectly every time in soft or hard woods and never causes a split even close to end grain. Massive upgrade from a Silverline cheapo one I had before.
