“There is very little waste, the small birds do make a mess at the feeders but there is very few sprouting plants due to the husk free nature of the majority of the seeds. The wood pigeons hoover up most of the spillage. The other good point is that the seed doesn't turn into porridge when it rains so there is very little the birds won't eat reducing the possibility of mould developing in the feeder.
