“Technically it works and is easy to put together and use but our chickens aren't inclined to use it. The bit they'd duck down to peck into is all quite small and low to the ground which may explain it. Overall we were disappointed and have resorted to good old fashioned scattering feed.”
“The one that I purchased was 5kg, as I felt that would last a few days. However, the amount it holds is not that relevant , as only 1 chicken at a time can use it. So it actually defeats the point of me buying it, as I am still having to put extra food out. If I had realised that it was only big enough for 1 chicken, I would have bought a much bigger one and that would have been perfect.”

“It does exactly what I purchased for, to keep the starlings away from the food and the build quality is excellent however my chickens are still 'nervous' of it two weeks in. The big down side is that only one chicken can feed at a time and as any chicken owner can testify, chickens are gregarious and like to feed together. not sure about value for money because, ideally, you want on per chicken.”
“it looks very good, bit small for the birds to get underneath, my chickens are terrified of it we are into our second week of trialing it and they still wont feed from it. i have rang up but not happy with the answer of keep trying they will learn”
