“We have used the Yellow rockies and Red rockies for many years and always been very happy with them, especially as they are so easy to tell apart as a yellow rockie is yellow in colour and a red rockie is red in colour. I have various livestock including sheep, which cannot have the red rockie as they contain copper which is toxic to sheep.
I was extremely disappointed to receive my order and all rockies are now white in colour, due to EU rulings.
I would prefer if a safe, non toxic food colouring of some sort was used so that the different rockies could be easily distinguished.
My worry is that if the cardboard packaging ever got disposed of, then it would be quite easy to put a red rockies in with sheep. - Just my humble opinion.
I have telephoned Burnhills and the manufacturer to discuss. I cannot fault Burnhills for their swift delivery service.”
