“Updated 2nd Aug 2020. Just to say since being on this my dog has had loose stools and vile wind !! I started off on half scoop for a couple of days and now he's on 2 full scoops. Will cut back to half a scoop twice a day I think.It's very expensive for £19.95 when it only contains 45 servings so thats only about 22 days.Nonetheless happy to try it as I have a very old frail dog who has gone very thin and lost loads of muscles tone. Its too early to tell if it will help as it's only his 3rd day of using it so no changes so far. It is easy to use as I just sprinkle on his dinner and doesn't seem to put him off his food really.So for now I've had to give a middle of the road review of 3 stars and will come back and amend if I either see am improvement, OR I see no improvement.I hope you found this helpful. “It’s still relatively early days to see too much of a difference in terms of weight but we have a very fussy pug (I know - normally you can’t stop them from eating!) so when I saw this I thought it could be worth a shot.This is a powder supplement with a scoop in the bag - ideal & saves trying to measure the right amount. It didn’t really smell of anything to my nose, and as another reviewer has mentioned it does clump together a little so it does tend to sit on top of our pugs wet food so we mix it in. This week whilst using he has taken to his dinner a lot sooner than he normally does, without hesitation and the fact this was added didn’t deter him at all as some others I’ve tried.Whilst I haven’t noticed too much change (I’m not expecting to just yet, as I say it’s early days),this product offers peace of mind knowing that he is still getting the calories he needs & nutrients even if he doesn’t want to eat as much. It’s reasonable for the price but could get expensive for larger breeds requiring larger quantities.For a temporary measure or to help a new rescue get the calories they need despite a small appetite then I think this is a good buy.”

“This weight gainer is very good and it actually works! My dog is very fussy and never eats his food but as soon as I opened this weight gainer and he smelled the chicken, he was interested straight away! Very helpful for feeding fussy dogs!!”
“I got this has having a fussy eating dog some days would rather go without food than have any thought this might come in handy. Also for using with our pet pig who has recently lost a lot of weight due to an illness. Now with her the pig that is not going into the food chain already had meds etc whilst ill so no way. Vet recommended a weight food gaining product to help her regain her appetite even so she wouldn’t be going to the butchers anyway.Now the packet of stuff contains a mix of all good stuff as I’d call it vitamins, flax and a heap of other stuff all labeled on the outside of it. It smells of a rich chicken aroma not unlike gravy granules. That’s what sprang to my mind and the powder is quite thick but not lumpy. The one trouble I had was finding the scoop, right down at the bottom of the pack so yes hands full of the powder by the time I managed to grab it.Resealable pack and both dog and pig now eating properly again. Both animals it went down a storm with and dog usually one of those that spots medicine in food as otherwise a difficult one to get into him. Pig too but this solved our problems with them both. The price I wouldn’t complain at as the results are worth it in both cases for us and our animals.”

“I really wish I had known about this brand before or that it had been suggested to me by my vet. When my 15 year old Springer needed some help and was fed up eating bland gastroenteritis food this would have been so helpful.Now we have a rescue 2 year old Springer who is skin and bone and can only eat small amounts at a time. I have started sprinkling this on her food and she is happy to eat it so the chicken taste must seem good to her.Currently priced at £20, I don't feel this product is expensive for a 300g pouch with a free scoop. I love the fact that this supplement has natural and safe ingredients, is easily digestible and is high on protein and fat.
