Please check the best before date when you receive this. The one I received had only 18 days remaining and as I have a very small dog there was no way I would use it in that time. Also the powder was damp inside and all stuck together and to the sides of the pack. For such an expensive product this is disgusting. I have always used Buddy and Lola products but this experience has put me off using it again.

I ordered this to help my cockapoo gain a few pounds. He is 10 years old and was feeling a little thin which I think is due to a change in his routine over the past year. More people in the house all day and more walks etc. This product arrived very quickly and it seems to be working. George has a really delicate tummy so I was a bit worried something new might upset it but no sign of that at all. He loves the taste of it and spends far longer than normal sniffing and cleaning up his bowl.

We're delighted to learn that Cockapoo George is now licking his food bowl clean with added Buddy & Lola's Weight Gainer and is doing so well. Thank you for being a Buddy & Lola customer.

Brilliant stuff!! In 7 days my puppy (the runt of the litter) has gone from skin and bones to having a thin coating of fat on her, just enough to cover her ribs. I think the one pouch should be enough to give her a good start to being normal sized. Highly recommended.

Our dog is very fussy in his old age. (16yrs) He’s recently had an illness which has further knocked him off his food and he has lost 4-5kg over the last year. The good thing is this is clearly desirable to eat. He is incredibly fussy, but seems fine eating this.I bought this in the hope he would gain weight. He’s had the two recommended scoops each day and he’s almost at the end of the bag now but in all honesty I haven’t noticed much in terms of muscle build. He is eating more and as a result has put some weight on. I can feel it more than see it, but I suspect that’s due to the new medication he’s on making him feel like he wants to eat again, rather than this powder. Not sure. The powder is great for kibble/dry meal as it coats it all nicely, but for wet food it turns it paste-like and he wouldn’t eat it. We found splitting the food down to a few meals a day with the powder on the dry portions of his food was better. For our dog anyway. This product is worth a go, it’s a little expensive I guess but if it works then cost doesn’t matter. We will be seeing how Dempsey fairs without it for a while before considering purchasing it again as not clear on if it really is this product which is encouraging him to eat.

my frenchie has severe meat allergies and is vegan ,( even tried vegan dog food to which she reacted) she lost a lot of weight, but this is great no reactions and slowly putting back the weight she needed back on. brilliant for sensitive dogs with allergies

Fed the recommended amount for about 2 weeks, no weight gain, so I have increased to twice daily. I have a small terrier cross, he is almost 15 yrs and I needed something to help with the loss of muscle mass so it may take a little longer to show improvement. He has always had a good appitite but he clearly loves the taste of the weight gainer. I have also increased his dry food. Due to be weighed again soon. Apart from being on treatment for a heart condition he is pretty fit for his age.
