About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

Like any premium product, the quality of materials, design and craftsmanship that goes into creating a Billingham means that it represents a significant investment. It’s important that they don’t just look beautiful, but that they do their job of protecting equipment wherever they are and whatever they’re being used for – year in and year out.

Understood completely what I needed and was fastidious in helping me get the right fitting. Perfect, bag is once more at the top of it's game.

Bought this to replace the original insert that came with my Handley Pro Original. New design allows dividers to be placed anywhere which was much more convenient than the old design that only had two Velcro strips. Dividers are also better constructed. The old dividers had a stitching design that would undo over time.

I purchased a Hadley Pro insert to replace an insert in my Hadley Photo purchased in the 1990's . The original had completely rotted and Brocken down and made the bag unusable as a camera bag. The new insert is better than the original and the Hadley bag is as good as new. Hopefully last another 25 years.

Great to be able to buy an updated insert for a bag that is over 20 years old and still looks good.

The purchase of this insert is slightly unusual. Although it's a Hadley Standard/Pro insert it wasn't meant for a Hadley bag at all, instead it was bought for a much older Billingham bag. When my father died I inherited his Billingham bag. It lay around for quite a while because the original base and divider system had been removed. I think my Dad used it for his medium format film cameras, which were in their own cases, so didn't need dividers. After searching through the information on Billingham's website, and eventually sharing some emailed discussion with Mike Banahan of Billingham's, we identified the bag as a Billingham System 3 bag. It would have been manufactured between 1989 and 1993, and was still in excellent condition, despite being around 30 years old! Billingham's could still supply the original Systemflex divider set for the bag, or would be prepared to re-line it so that it could take the modern style of inserts and dividers, although this latter option would be quite expensive for an old bag. One other option was to purchase an insert and divider set made for another bag and hope that it fitted. I'd calculated from the excellent and extensive information on the Billingham website (it's helpful when you're dealing with a company renowned for its quality and integrity) that the insert for the Hadley Standard/Hadley Pro bag should more or less fit, and Mike Banahan thought so too. So I ordered this insert and kept my fingers crossed. When the insert arrived I was delighted to find that it was an almost perfect fit for the old System 3 bag; only the depth was a little short, but in truth, this is hardly noticeable. As you would expect from Billingham, the insert is beautifully made, with generous padding, two large vertical dividers and two small "flappy" ones that can be used to stack lenses or on top of one another. There's little point in describing the capacity of the insert; that information is available in detail on Billingham's website under the description for the Hadley Standard and Pro bags. Suffice to say that the insert can easily take as much of my Micro 4/3rds camera equipment as I'm ever likely to take on a day's shooting, and that the System 3 bag, for which the modern equivalent would be the 335 bag, has plenty of additional room for accessories and personal items as well. My thanks to Mike for his help, to Billingham's for their quality products, and for giving a 30 year old camera bag a new lease of life.

Somewhere along the line I misplaced these inserts when I stopped using my Hadley Pro as a gadget bag and more of a briefcase. I needed to transport a couple of iPads safely around and this padded insert does the job without the cost of a new case.
