About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

Like any premium product, the quality of materials, design and craftsmanship that goes into creating a Billingham means that it represents a significant investment. It’s important that they don’t just look beautiful, but that they do their job of protecting equipment wherever they are and whatever they’re being used for – year in and year out.

Fantastic satchel !! I own several Billingham's and have never been disappointed. The Hadley Digital was purchased for a specific need ..... to carry a small Hasselblad 'X' outfit in as compact a satchel as possible and the Hadley Digital meets this requirement admirably. By removing one of the two included vertical dividers the satchel will comfortably accommodate a Hasselblad X2D 100C with either 38mm F2.5 or 55mm F2.5 lens attached - lens facing downward into the satchel. The other lens is stored in the space to the other side of the divider and under the cameras grip. This configuration is comfortable, being neither too snug nor too loose and does not stretch the satchel to any degree. Both lenses can have their hoods attached too, the one on the body can be fitted 'right way up and ready for use' whilst the one on the spare lens needs to be reversed so that it does not extend above the 'folding flap' of the divider which if it did would foul the camera grip. The fit of the spare lens with reversed hood is tighter than without it but not to a degree that it is problematic, however as both lenses ( 38 & 55 ) use the same hood I store the spare lens without a hood just to make it that little bit easier to remove from the satchel when needed. Spare batteries can be stored in the front pocket and I find that I can store three without making the satchel bulge. So to summarise, the Hadley Digital will comfortably house a Hasselblad X2D with one of the new F2.5 lenses attached and another F2.5 lens ( either 38 or 55mm, I think the anticipated 90mm will be too tall ) stored in the space below the camera grip . For those who may choose to run with a 38 & 90mm F2.5 setup I would have the 90mm on the camera and the 38mm stored below the grip. A fantastic compact and discreet ( I choose 'black fibrenyte' ) satchel that perfectly suits my needs and likely so for many years to come.

How would you rate the build quality of the bag/product?
The size of the bag is perfect as I can take it without Extra pockets attached for a short local walk or attach an AVEA 7 or an AVEA 5 or both if I need to take more kit. And I can even dump the whole Digital bag into my Hadley One bag if I need everything together for landscape photography. I am lick to own a Leica M10 which is small and the lenses are small too. So the Digital bag is perfect for the camera.

I purchased the Hadley One in in Black FibreNyte / Black Leather in 2020 and wanted a small single camera bag for times when I take my camera out but no additional gear. The research I had done on purchasing my Hadley One, helped hugely by honest customer reviews, and the incredible customer service I received with my first purchase meant that I didn't even look at any other brands. I was a little worried that the Hadley Digital Camera Bag might be a bit short for my Canon 6D Mkii with my currently most often used 24-70 f/2.8 lens but again, after wonderfully helpful reviews, plus the security of the customer service/returns process, I went ahead and bought this bag. The fit is tight in height but fine, much helped by the helpful detail of an adjustable front strap. One thing to note, I had read about animal hair sticking to the FibreNyte. I have a short-haired dog who loses a lot of hair and I have only had a couple of hairs stick to my bags, unlike my clothes! If you're thinking about buying Billingham, stop thinking and go ahead and buy, you won't regret it.

Bought this bag from a retailer in Singapore and this is the perfect bag for carrying my X100V and other daily essentials! With one divider in, I'm able to fit the camera with a strap, a powerbank, and a 12oz flask in the main compartment, plus my phone, wallet, and keys in the front pocket. Everything I need for a trip out! Excellent craftsmanship as well. Hope to use it for years to come!

A great bag for a field soldier.. if you walk a lot, street photography, this bag you will keep and treasure. Extremely safe for the camera, very convenient for a quick release - what else do you need? Extra! A pocket that you can put extra card and battery! A must-have!

I bought this bag as a birthday present for my husband; he loves it and uses it daily to protect his camera as he carries it around with him everywhere! The bag is really lovely quality, stylish and sturdy. It's not a cheap purchase but totally worth the money it costs in terms of craftsmanship and the great quality materials used. Recommended!
