“The size of these works pretty well in a smallish offset cooker. Big enough to burn slow, small enough so they don't add too much heat”

Very sorry to hear that your bag was inconsistent with the average size. Log / chunk sizes do vary by batch, as it is not always possible to source from the same woodland, who each cut and split their oak slightly differently.
