“This looks fantastic and is fairly easy to fit but I’ve only given it three stars because it has some inherent design floors.
Firstly, you have to screw it to the wall using a fixing mount on each side. However there is nowhere near enough clearance to get a screwdriver in and using it at an angle makes it rub the paint off the frame. I recommend buying yourself an offset screwdriver (or, force the screws in and touch the paint up using hammerite).
Secondly the handle is in the wrong place for proper operation of the door. You can’t open and close the door using the handle alone as there’s a magnet at the top and bottom in the middle holding it shut. We found ourselves having to open it from the top in the middle - no change just using the handle. For me the handle should be in the middle of the door or at the very least in the middle of the first pane of glass to give enough leverage to operate the door.
Lack of common sense design aside it does look great and was a good price. Time will tell if it will last.”
