Just leave hot and cold pipes protruding The chrome offset connectors that come with the shower are redundant so the protruding pipes must be perfectly aligned and level for the shower mixer to connect to. I made a jig from a small piece of ply wood with to 15mm holes at the same distance as the shower mixer connections and temporarily fixed it over the protruding pipes prior to clipping and burying the pipe drops into the wall.”
