“I wanted this because I have just converted a violin to an octave or bass violin with Sensicore Octave violin strings and I wanted more grip from my bow. It has provided that extra grip perfectly. Incidentally I have found that an ordinary violin bow is best on an octave violin rather than a 3/4 cello bow. [both rosined with Melos cello sticky rosin] [an arbitary point but I found it to be so] Anyway all that is beside the point. Melos Cello 'Sticky' Rosin is a great rosin beautifully presented and great for its purpose.”

Hi Mike, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review for the Melos Sticky rosin. It's interesting to read about your violin conversion, I suppose the octave strings are a thicker gauge than normal ones so the stickier rosin will work better. All the best, David.
