“Why D'Addario produces the Pro Arte Violin Strings with a "Plain E" is a mystery to me. The "Wound E" is essential to a balanced tone when transitioning from the "A" to "E". They make such a difference to a student instrument. Good tone, with tuning stability and long life, is essential to me.”
